House for Quarantine Sessions
The current pandemic (2021) is unprecedented. People use isolation to suppress and alleviate the situation. Isolation itself is a new event, story, or scenario. The space should respond with new conditions and planning.
The goal is to explore how two people live together in the same place with anxiety and pressure from the surroundings, a short-term separation from society and family. Rather than a generic building, this space is more like an introverted shelter. I am concerned with how to use interior materials and a minimal number of external openings to reflect, converse, and ensure that the isolated individuals are not forgotten and have privacy.
Traditionally, doors and windows, through materials and operations, have taken on new identities, prompting people to reconsider what a wall is and what a window is.
